White allows the queen to invade on f2 because Nd5 and Nh3 create a powerful initiative against Black's exposed king and queen.

Attack g7 with Qg4
Use Nd5 to overload c7 and f6
Develop Nh3 with tempo against the queen's escape squares

The king must go to d1 after ...Qxf2+
